Biography Miriam de Koning
I am a self-taught artist and like to connect my independent work with resonating initiatives and art forms. In my drawings, the present is shaped by the past and by nature.
In addition, I am one of the initiators of the cultural platform Stichting Godart in Leiden and the art project Twee vergeten meer dan een | Two forget more than one.
Under the flag 'Winston Connects' I can be booked for various projects in the field of publishing, design, cultural entrepeurship, writing and presentation.
'Cultural Studies' at the University of Amsterdam (1993) is part of my education, and helped build the research- and editorial skills I like to tap in to. Other life-shaping events and places were two exhibitions (Exchange Moscow and Amsterdam, 1993-1994, and Unbelievable in Belgrade 1995), cultural debate center De Balie in Amsterdam, newspaper Haarlems Dagblad, scientific publisher Elsevier, publishing house Nieuw Amsterdam and public speaking agency Winston Speakers.
